UFO Tart
Only available in Sandakan, the UFO Tart (also known as the cow dung tart) is origin from Sandakan. The tart is made of a base cake with egg white and egg york toppings.
If u look at the photo, you will know why it’s call UFO Tart or it’s not so nice nickname. Anyway, due to the complicated making procedure, less and less bakery is willing to spend time on this article, only a couple of restaurant still serve this tart.
Since it’s unique, give it a try when you are in Sandakan.

This is something I really missed! There are no where in the world to get this other than Sandakan.

i had my first ufo tart in kk a few years ago when i studied there. I love it so much, I’ll always go get one as a special treat for myself. When i got back to kl, i missed it very very much. three years later, (last week), i went back to kk, for a long awaited holiday, and i found that the particular shop in KK no longer sells this tart… i was so so so disappointed….
I went Sandakan a few times and didnt know got such dish. Very angry, the next time I go Sandakan, I must find it at all cost!
